The YXD268 has specially designed slots to accommodate the different Epson cartridges. The pins in the YXD268 should tightly contact the gold pads on the cartridge chip. When the pins are in contact with the cartridge chip pads the led will blink red for 3 to 4 seconds, then LED will stay green. This indicates that the reset has been successful.

Cartridges are simple to refill! You can buy 100ml of black ink for less than R160 and use it to fill an Epson R300 black cartridge (TO481) at least 5 to 8 times. A new cartridge will cost you more than R100! Now that's a saving!

Sometimes your cartridge is not empty but if you reset it to full, you can save a bundle and use it often for quite a time after.
